Smokey sighed and sniffed the shirt front and wide-brimmed hat of the abandoned Park Ranger uniform. It had been dropped near the scenic overview, next to the Michigan-plated Lexus. Betsy likely hadn’t even noticed that her guide had paws, not hands and feet.
“I smell a picnic basket—a gestalt of fried chicken, brownies, and Guinness.” He looked at his partner with concern.
“Yeah, that’s Yogi’s signature all right,” answered Booboo. “Why’d that gun-toting lunch lady shoot Cindy? A bear in a frilly tutu is nothing to be scared of!”
“He never got over it. Gonna have to pick him up.”
